The Story of Inga Vaughn

The Story of Inga Vaughn

I’m Danielle. I am the artist and the heart behind Inga Vaughn, but more importantly, I am a mother who found her way back to herself through the fire.

Inga Vaughn was born from the darkest chapter of my life. After years of climbing the corporate ladder, I chose a different path that centered on my marriage and the deep desire for motherhood. But life tested me in ways I never imagined. I lost my firstborn son, Everett, when I was eight months pregnant. Shortly after, the world shut down.

In that silence and grief, I had to decide who I was going to be.

Today, I am a proud mama to two amazing boys, and I have traded the corporate world for a studio bench in the woods of Connecticut. Inga Vaughn is the name I had tucked away for the daughter I never had, which now represents the creative spirit that emerged from that loss. It is my hope, my beauty, and my light.

From Earth to Artifact

My work has evolved alongside my healing. I’ve moved away from the beads of my early days to focus on the alchemy of silver and bronze. There is a profound parallel between my life and the materials I use: both start as soft earth and find their permanence and strength only after they have been through the fire.

I don’t mass-produce. I don’t use molds. I hand-sculpt every piece from raw clay, firing it into solid metal artifacts. My jewelry isn't meant to be "precious" in a way that keeps it tucked in a box; it’s meant to be significant and for every day. It carries the weight of solid silver or the deep, ancient glow of bronze.

For the Journey

I make these pieces for those who understand what it means to rebuild. Whether you are celebrating a bright moment or navigating a quiet, difficult one, I hope my jewelry serves as a tactile reminder of your own resilience.

When you wear an Inga Vaughn piece, you aren't just supporting an artist; you are carrying a piece of a story that says: We can find our way back to the light.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
