Asteria Ring

I named this piece Asteria after the ancient star-goddess of navigation and light in the dark. I wanted to create something that felt like a grounding point, a physical reminder of your own steady focus and inner strength when everything around you feels chaotic.

The ring centers around an 8x8mm hexagonal step cut cubic zirconia, hand-bezel set into a band with softened geometric angles. Across the surface, I hand-engraved scattered star etchings that catch and hold the light as your hand moves. It brings together clean structural lines with the warm, hand-carved feel of small-batch studio work.

•  Fit & Sizing: Hand-sculpted band built for comfort. If choosing this ring as a pinky ring, I recommend sizing down a half size to a full size for the most secure and comfortable fit. Please note that minor sizing variations may occur due to natural clay shrinkage during firing.

Note from the Artist: Each piece is custom hand sculpted and fired to order in my Connecticut studio. Please allow 2-3 weeks for your piece to be crafted, polished, and shipped.

A Note on Fine Silver & Bronze

I handcraft this piece in your choice of .999 fine silver or nickel-free bronze made from bronze clay. Each metal has its own character and responds naturally to wear and its environment.

Fine silver is .999 pure silver, with no rhodium plating or coating. It may tarnish or develop a patina at a different rate than sterling silver or plated jewelry. Bronze, an alloy of copper and tin, is strong and may develop a natural patina or deepen in color over time.

With either metal, skin chemistry, humidity, lotions, soaps, and airborne compounds can influence how the surface changes. These changes are natural characteristics of the material, not defects. Bronze may also temporarily leave a green mark on your skin, which washes off with soap and water.

A polishing cloth is included with your order to help maintain the finish. For bronze, I recommend wiping your piece before and after wearing. Fine silver tarnish can also be removed with a baking soda paste or silver cleaning cream.
