The Nodus Ring

The Nodus Ring

Most people see the knot; I see the tension required to get it there.

Sculpting the Nodus ring is a process of bringing two separate paths into one permanent bind. It requires the metal clay to be worked to its absolute limit before it finally holds its shape.

I create these because we all have those knot moments, the heavy experiences, grief, and trials that are difficult to weave together, but ultimately become the strongest parts of who we are. Derived from the Latin for a sacred bond, this ring serves as a solid, daily reminder that the hardest bonds are the ones that never slip.

Product Details:

Metal Options: Solid .999 Fine Silver or Solid Bronze

Weight: Approximately 9 grams of solid metal

Finish: Hand-polished to a rich, heirloom shine

Fit & Sizing: True to size, though because this dimensional knot design carries some top-heavy weight, you can size down a half size for a more secure fit. Please note that minor sizing variations may occur due to natural clay shrinkage during firing.

A Note on Pure Fine Silver & Solid Bronze: Solid .999 fine silver (pure silver with no alloyed base metals) and solid bronze (a classic alloy of pure copper and tin) naturally react over time to external environmental factors, skin chemistry, soaps, and moisture. Normal patina and oxidation are inherent characteristics of solid metals and can be easily maintained with a polishing cloth or gentle cleaning paste.

Note from the Artist: Each piece is hand sculpted and fired to order in my Connecticut studio. Please allow 2-3 weeks for your piece to be crafted, polished, and shipped.
