The Nova Pendant (Bronze)
The Nova Pendant (Bronze)
If you follow my Instagram stories, you already know the reality behind this piece. The hours of sculpting, sanding, micro-cracks, frustrations, patching and re-firing that went into it. Working with bronze clay and setting stones directly has been a massive undertaking for me. It is messy, unforgiving, and deeply labor-intensive.
But my steady anchor through the entire design process for setting stones in bronze clay was a simple phrase: keep failing until you don’t.
The Bronze Nova Pendant is the physical proof of that persistence. Hand-sculpted in solid bronze, this heavy, structural star was built entirely around a custom warm-toned 7.5mm old mine cut antique cushion cubic zirconia. Every polished line and mirror finish was earned through trial and error.
The back features an open, hand-carved azure window so the light can flood completely through the stone from every angle. I hope when you wear this, it serves as a daily reminder that the magic only happens when you are willing to make mistakes, learn from the flaws, and keep going anyway.
